Biography

Prof Wolvetang obtained his PhD from the University of Amsterdam in 1996. Since 2009 He is a senior group leader at the Australian Institute for Bio-engineering and Nanotechnology of the University of Queensland (Australia). Prof Wolvetang is director of the UQ Centre “stem cell ageing and regenerative engineering”, leads the “Cell reprogramming Australia” collaborative network, and is a principal investigator in the ARC Center of Excellence “Stem Cells Australia. He was awarded the 2014 LSQ regenerative medicine prize and was co-recipient of the 2016 Eureka Prize for international collaboration and has published >110 peer reviewed manuscripts.
