Cell and Gene Therapy
Cell Therapy is the transfer of cells into a patient and GeneTherapy is the introduction or alteration of genetic material within a cell or organism with an intention of curing the disease. In biomedical research cell and gene therapy are the overlapping fields with the goals of repairing the direct cause of genetic diseases in DNA or cellular population respectively. In the early-phase clinical trials of Cell and Gene Therapy products often involves the consideration of clinical safety issues, preclinical issues, and manufacturing and controls (CMC) issues that are encountered.
